Employee of the month

The purpose of the Employee of the Month is to recognize employees who have exceptionally served Las Mercedes Medical Centers by exemplifying outstanding service, embody MMC standards for excellence and customer service through his or her work, and exhibiting a positive and supportive attitude. The program seeks to acknowledge those whose efforts have inspired and supported the performance and achievement of others.

The program will acknowledge those employees who show exemplary individual achievement, contribution, and performance in their jobs and other related duties beyond their own, to make the workplace more efficient and more welcoming to co-workers, patients, and the community.

Criteria for selecting “The Employee Of The Month

  • The employee needs to be in the company for at least one year, and the employee must not be on a probationary period during the time of nomination.
  • The title of employee of the month can be earned by an employee for more than once with a break of at least one year between receiving the last award and the next award.
  • The employee needs to be a proactive individual who does not deter to take initiatives as and when required.
  • The employee needs to deliver a high quality of work consistently.
  • The employee needs to be compulsorily a great team player who can adjust in any setting and environment and has the flair to gel and work in tandem with people of varied temperament.
  • The employee must be an individual with a positive attitude to work effectively in any work environment.
  • The employee is required to have a clean record in the company in terms of attendance, quality, performance, attitude, individual achievement, contribution, etc.

Process for selecting “The Employee Of The Month

  1. Nominations are solicited from department heads sent via email to [email protected] or apply through the Intranet.
  2. Every month, a committee meets and reviews all the nominations and boils down to pick the appropriate employee for the upcoming month for the said category. A follow-up email is sent if required.
  3. The HR Department collaborates with the relevant managers/directors/supervisors to discuss and solicit their opinions.
  4. Once all the required process is complete, the HR Department shares an email intimating everyone that an award function is coming up announcing the stipulated time and venue for the same.
  5. After the employee receives the award, his or her name is highlighted either in the department newsletter, intranet, communicated across the team/organization via mailers, and is also highlighted in the monthly newsletter of the HR.

Awards

  • A lunch with the team
  • During the lunch, a certificate/plaque is awarded to the employee of the month
  • A $100.00 gift card/certificate/bonus is awarded to the employee of the month
